About Us

St. Luke’s Apartments offers affordable apartment living in Seattle’s vibrant Ballard neighborhood. Opened in 2026, the eight-story community features 84 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes for households earning 50–60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Residents enjoy a variety of on-site amenities, including a community room, rooftop deck and play area, bike storage, and welcoming gathering spaces designed to support connection and everyday convenience.

Located on a site with more than 130 years of community history, St. Luke’s Apartments blends modern affordable housing with a longstanding commitment to serving Ballard residents. The property was originally home to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, a congregation founded in 1891 that has played an important role in the neighborhood for generations. As housing costs increased throughout Seattle, church leaders explored ways to continue supporting the community by creating much-needed affordable housing opportunities.

Developed through a partnership between St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and BRIDGE Housing, the $52.3 million community is the first affordable housing development built in Ballard in more than 20 years. Resident services are provided by FamilyWorks, offering programs focused on resource navigation, community engagement, and resident support. The community is part of a larger mixed-income redevelopment that will ultimately include more than 280 homes, a new church sanctuary, and additional community space. By combining quality housing, supportive services, and a convenient Ballard location, St. Luke’s Apartments provides residents with an opportunity to live in a connected and thriving neighborhood while remaining close to the people, places, and resources that matter most.
